Making the Farm Connection!This manual is designed to let farmers know what to expect when hosting a farm visit, and to prepare teachers and classes so that they may get the most out of their farm visit.
Both teachers and farmers play very active roles in creating the farm experience for students. The farm visit concepts outlined in this manual are best suited for students between second and sixth grades.
Children younger than second grade also benefit from farm visits, although these visits are generally less structured and involve mostly hands-on activities. The curriculum and activities for students older than the sixth grade are not addressed in this manual. Download (pdf 677 kb)
